California State University, Chico, CA, fall 2006-present with Dr. A. White
- Transformation by way of a Tn5 transposon to create hypophosphite negative mutant phenotypes in Pseudomonas putida.
- Transformation by electroporation into E. coliDH5µλpir and screening to isolate transformants.
Awards:

WORK EXPERIENCE:
Lab Assistant, Biological Department, California State University, Chico, CA, 9/08 to present
- Experience preparing pure culture for department labs.
- Experience preparing microbiological media.
- Proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
Current/Future Research Goals:
- Continued work to further characterize the pathway used in Pseudomonas putida to oxidize reduced phosphorus compounds in the environment.
- Explore possible dominant-negative effect caused by second metabolic pathway for reduced phosphorus compounds shown in mutant Pseudomonas putida strains.
